Omniscope combines the features of local databases, spreadsheets, presentation packages, web browser-based reporting and portable document formats in a single easy-to-use application.

Import

Import tabular data, then merge, join, visualise, analyse and share or publish reports and presentations as compact, highly-visual, interactive Omniscope files. Files open as simple presentations, as they were last saved, with any combination of 14 different views, including maps, images and links to related content located on your network and/or the web. The navigable data is all inside the Omniscope file, so all views update automatically as users search and filter the data interactively. There are no commands needed, just a mouse.

Visualise and analyse

Omniscope's 14 different views allow you and others to make sense of the data, no matter how many rows there are. You can specify calculated formula columns and define assumption variables users can vary in real time, just by moving a slider. As users filter the data and change the assumptions, all charts and displays (including web displays if online) will update automatically.

Present and publish

More presentable than spreadsheets, more visual and much easier to use than database files, anyone can open and navigate interactive, filterable, .IOK files using the free Viewer. Files are small enough to be e-mailed. Depending on your Edition, you can import data from spreadsheets and databases, refresh on demand, and configure interactive, multi-view tabbed Report Pages that look (and print) just like presentations. You can mix PowerPoint slides into Omniscope interactive graphical presentations.

Export and re-use

Omniscope will export data for re-use in spreadsheets, and from version 2.4 will also export selected subsets of your data as universally-accessible interactive Flash DataPlayers that can be inserted in common documents (PowerPoint, Excel, .PDF) and web pages.  More on DataPlayers.

Open, save and export selected data:

• Explore, filter and analyse existing .IOK files of practically unlimited size

• Edit (scrub) your data visually in Omniscope...spot and fix errors easily
• Add data by merging in additional rows or columns from other files automatically
• Add missing geographic coordinates to your data by merging or positioning records
• Find and browse statistical trends in your data using the Graph View: Trends > Find Trends command
• Add formula-driven calculated columns using spreadsheet functions
• Create real-time models with multiple assumption variables controlled by sliders

Add maps, images and links

• Plot your data on free vector or online Google Maps
• Import maps, scanned images, floor plans, etc. and overlay coordinates
• Link image sets to your data and embed them in portable .IOK files
• Re-size embedded image sets to manage .IOK file size automatically
